Where We Are

So, where are we in this whole adoption process? Well, we keep asking ourselves the same question. We’ve been filling out paperwork since the fall. A couple of weeks ago, we got our fingerprints sent off. Last Friday, we had our first home study visit. We’re feeling good about all these steps, yet so anxious to get on the plane and go pick up our child in our arms. This is such a hard process because there is no time line. We have no idea when Haven will officially be a part of our family, living in our home. We hope that it will happen before the end of the year. We’re using Bethany Christian Services as our agency and Lifeline Children’s Services to complete our home study. We prayed so much about what agency to use, and feel confident that we’re in good hands. So, for now, we keep pushing through more paperwork and more meetings with our social worker. One thing is for sure, Story is ready to be a big sister! She is obsessed with babies! She loves to rock them, pat them on the back, and help take care of them. I can’t wait to see her and Haven interact with one another. Please continue to pray for us as we prepare our hearts, our family, and our home for Haven.
